Car Transport Liverpool
Moving a vehicle around Liverpool can involve more planning than simply putting an address into a sat nav. A transporter crossing between Liverpool and the Wirral needs to suit the restrictions of the Mersey Tunnel being used, and some city-centre collections have their own access limits.
Nick065 provides car transport in Liverpool for private customers, dealerships and businesses, with collection and delivery available throughout mainland UK.
Vehicle Collection & Delivery in Liverpool
We can move the vehicle in different ways depending on its condition and how you want it transported.
Our options include:
- Recovery trucks
- Single-car transporter delivery
- 4x4s with triple axle tilt trailers
- Multi-car transporters
- Enclosed car transport
- Trade plate delivery for roadworthy vehicles
We transport cars, vans, non-runners, classic cars, sports and prestige vehicles, along with multiple vehicles for dealerships and businesses.
A roadworthy car may be suitable for trade plate delivery. A non-runner or a car you don’t want driven can be carried instead.
Enclosed transport is available when you want a classic, prestige or higher-value vehicle kept covered during transit.
Car Transport Between Liverpool and the Wirral
The Queensway and Kingsway Mersey Tunnels do not have the same vehicle restrictions.
Queensway has tighter limits on vehicle size and weight, which can rule it out for some larger transporters. Kingsway accommodates larger vehicles.
That means a transporter carrying your car may need to take a different crossing from the route you would use in an ordinary car.
We plan the route around the transport being used, so you don’t need to work out which tunnel a recovery truck, trailer or multi-car transporter can use.
This is particularly relevant when the collection is in Liverpool and delivery is on the Wirral, or the other way round.
Car Collection From Liverpool City Centre
The exact collection address matters in central Liverpool too.
Some roads have restricted access, banned turns or bus-only sections. Lime Street is one example where restrictions apply to general traffic in certain areas.
There can be a more practical problem as well. A large transporter needs enough room to reach the car and load it.
If the vehicle is in an underground car park, gated development, narrow street or somewhere with a height restriction, tell us when you enquire.
We can then work out whether the planned transporter can reach the vehicle or whether another collection arrangement makes more sense.
Bought a Car From a Liverpool Dealer, Auction or Private Seller?
If you’ve bought a vehicle remotely, you don’t have to travel to Liverpool just to drive it home.
We can collect it from a dealership, auction site, business or private address and deliver it to your chosen destination.
This can save a train trip, arranging lifts and spending several hours driving an unfamiliar car back yourself.
For an auction collection, send us any release reference and collection deadline. For dealer or private sales, make sure the seller knows that somebody will be collecting the vehicle on your behalf.
If the car is roadworthy, trade plate delivery may suit. Transporter delivery is available if you want to keep the car off the road.
Non-Runners and Cars That Need Recovery
A car does not need to run for us to collect it.
What we do need to know is why it cannot be driven.
A flat battery is quite different from locked steering, seized brakes, damaged suspension or wheels that will not turn. Those problems affect how the vehicle can be loaded.
Tell us the condition before collection and we can arrange transport suited to the car instead of arriving with equipment that cannot load it.
Vehicle Cover During Transport
Vehicles carried by Nick065 travel under the Goods in Transit insurance held by the transporting carrier.
The standard liability limit is £250,000 per vehicle. Cars valued above that amount need to be declared before booking so extra cover can be discussed and arranged where required.
What We Need Before Quoting
For a Liverpool car transport quote, send us:
- Collection and delivery addresses or postcodes
- Vehicle make and model
- Registration and year
- Running condition
- Preferred collection date
- Any loading problems
- Any height, parking or access restrictions
- Whether enclosed transport is required
- Number of vehicles if more than one is being moved
If you’re not sure which transport method you need, that’s fine. The vehicle details normally tell us more than choosing a service name yourself.
